You need to read the rules to see what they allow. Some calculators will be specifically listed as allowed or banned but for others you will need to read the list of what features are banned to determine if your calculator is allowed.

You may also need to ask the people who set the rules (your education department) or just ask a teacher about it and see if they can follow up.

It may also depend on what exam it is, some exams might allow more powerful calculators (e.g. graphics calculators) that others ban.

I suspect a TI-30Xa would be allowed though.

you may use a calculator on the ACT arithmetic attempt yet no longer on any of the different tests interior the ACT. you're no longer required to apply a calculator. All issues on the maths attempt could be solved and not employing a calculator

I believe everything except a TI-89, which basically does everything for you. Don't worry about your calculator, because most proctors don't even know what a TI-89 looks like. One of my friends has taken the ACT three times using his TI-89 and he never got caught.

You can use any calculator that doesn't make noice, is capable of communications with another calculator, or has a keypad. The Ti-30X is a scientific calculator. All scientific calculators don't have any of the functions listed above, so they are permitted.
