This same thing happened to my daughter. She took the SAT twice and got a lower score the second time. She feels it was because she was stressed out from trying to get a higher score and tried too hard.

Don't worry about it. Your 1450 is a good score and if you have a good GPA you'll probably get into the college of your choice.

By the way, my daughter had a slightly lower score than you and was accepted to all three universities to which she applied. She ended up going to the University of Washington, which is a very highly rated school. But she also had a high school GPA of 3.9, so that probably helped.

Don't sweat it. With a 1450, you're obviously intelligent and will get in anywhere. By the way, your highest score is the one used, so the 1442 won't count anyway.

Good luck in college.

Several possible reasons come to mind.
1. you had a bad day
2. the questions were different, and harder for you.
3. more "geniuses" took it that day, and it was graded on a curve.
4. you were stressed because you were trying harder.
