No because it would start big problems i think, parents know if there child is doing drugs or not and if they don't I feel they should spend a little more time with them or read up on them. If they drug tested in schools.... no one would go to school. But this is just my opinion

Absolutely!
Nowadays students are getting high just to go to school because they are burdened down with peer pressure, family issues, friendship/relationship issues, hurt, conflicts.....etc.....
But this is not good, drug testing students is a great idea, because if the school system tune into what the kids are doing now, they can began to address the issues that are at hand, before things get worse for them in their life. I also agree that parents do need to be notified before these random drug tests take place. Every parent should want their child checked out whether they believe or think that their children would do something such as drugs or not.
In sports it's very much needed for sure: it's not good to get high before a game, because they can get out there on that football field, basketball court, tennis court, or baseball court, and get all wired up, and pass out and have a heart attack or something.....
Not only that, students can be getting high when they go to school, and they could snap and get on a killing spree or something and can put everyone's life in danger, including their on..... You just never know, that's why it's good to always take percaution...
I think that it's a good idea.... but not only do the schools need to do random drug testing , but they need to have counseling programs set up to help these students out. It does no good to just do random drug testing if you have no backup plans to help these students with their drug addictions/habits.
Good Question! Awesome!

I think that they should test for drugs for any and all student athletes in all of the sports. If they get a handle on it when they are young they will be less likely to start doping or doing drugs at a later stage in life.
As far as students who are not involved in sports I think that would be considered an invasion of privacy and should be left up to the discretion of parents.

Only for teachers. Most of those are completely out of it. Trouble is; they're giving Ritalin, etc. etc to the kids too. What they really want to do is catalog kids, it's too late to test.
