Primary & Secondary Education - December 2006

My parents are really quite strict... I haven't told them yet but I had a detention on Tuesday (my first ever) for being late two times to class... and I ended up being two minutes late for the detention itself. I was told to go home because it already started and that I would be given a four-hour Saturday detention (and it's the first Saturday of Christmas vacation, too). I know that my parents will be rather upset... anybody have any good excuses to use on them?

14 yr old son helps out @ school productions doing the lighting & sound.
has to be @ school for 7.30am yesterday, eventually got home @ 11pm
Today 8am till 5pm
tomorrow 8.30am (And they break up tomorrow 4 xmas @ 12.30pm) till 5.30pm
He was asleep at 6.30 this evening, i have said NO to tomorrow, he said YES because he doesn't want to let people down. SHould the school not step in then?!

I have a student that has a difficult time staying on task when it is time to work on his word pack cards. I was thinking there might be some kind of game I could make with the words on his word pack cards so he might be more motivated to work on them; but I can't think of anything. Any ideas? I really need to get my student motivated and moving along closer with the rest of the class.

I have taken away many privlages, and I have gone as far as to offering $500.00 dollars for brining home a report card with A's and B's. They are both very bright and are capable of getting straight A's, their teachers agree with me about how bright they are. Help me!

Our public schools are barely making the grade themselfs. Between the Goverments inputs and laws as wel as each states laws or concerns, there is either no-money or no-way to adequetly give students the edjucation they despretly need. Other countries have there 16 year old at college level Reading & Math. Why, are we not making it more possible to allow a school to become a company? The lottery says they give to the schools but sadly its a bare obscure amont that certain school districts actually see. Plus, Teacher's would be better sought after and paid for there own exspireince as well as there own edjucation. Here in Missouri I feel the schools are in despret need of an over haul.Thank you for your time and comments.

The more of it I do for 6 hours straight after school, it seems hopeless. There's always more to do. I've taken about 15 minutes of my time right now on my break to see what I can do. It's almost been 7 hours now. I'm a freshman in high school with honors classes. How am I supposed to do this? I feel so stressed and unhappy. There's never any time to play. Well, I'm still a kid. I'm not a fatarse who sits on their butt all day type of person. I wanna get out there and go play! But I have so much work, it's frustrating. I still have a lot more homework to do. What the HECK am I supposed to do? I have a test tomorrow too and it's a TUESDAY. Life sucks.

Christmas is on monday and I don't feel very christmasy at all because of the amount of homework teachers have been giving out. I'm annoyed with the everyday routine, and since I don't get off of school until saturday...how can I make it through the week without drowning in due dates, boring myself to death with routine, and get in the holiday spirit at the same time?
