Primary & Secondary Education - July 2006

I am a Christian who has read both the Bible and Koran (spelling may differ)but there is no real difference between the books. After all in NI there was/is problems between prods and caths and they study the same book, before yo all rant and rave about Muslims, check how you treat others cefore blaming religion!!

My students took the Achievement Tests required for Ohio in Math and Language arts. Scores in grades 5-8 in math and language arts were low. I have scheduled a 50min. daily intervention time to work on improving scores. Any suggestions how because I want the intervention time to be structured and beneficial.

at one time the english language was the most used language in the world,and those who mastered it were proud to have done so,then along came the internet,mobile phones,and rap,and all of a sudden the kids are talking like american rap artists and talking text language,and at the end of all that the dictionary now includes american mispelling of words,my point being that with all these easy spellings schools still cant get the majority of kids to learn the language,or be proud to be english,whats the answer

I have posted many questions, and I have received many answers, most of them improper by gathering, and some on the downright unethical. I hear teachers complaining about limited resources, i hear others say that I am this and I am that, yet they are not answering the question, they are not even following their own train of thought. Some people have been fortunate to ask questions about public school teachers and probably get paid for it. So please stick to the question, and leave the personal attacks to yourself. I can also see that by not following your train of thought and by not answering the question, is what is going on in our public school classrooms across America. I have heard that the administrators are to blame, when teachers are falling behind in their curriculum. All I am seeing from such reaction is that some of the teachers are rebelling against the district and the way some people raise their children, when the children are at school for most of the day...........
