I struck a bargain. At a library book sale I bought the 2004 edition of the World Book Encyclopedia for $5.00. The only thing is Book 11 (J-K) is missing. I already knew this when I bought the set. I am trying to find a replacement book. I have been looking on EBAY and I called World Book and they didn't have any 2004s left. Are there other sites that sell replacement books? Thank you.

Besides Marthin Luther King, who do you think of when you think of a good public speaker.

And in a couple of words, how would you describe the way they spoke?

I received an 89.8 which was rounded DOWN to an 89. Now i do understand that theoretically speaking, that is technically a B+. However, this teacher gave me an F in participation as well as a majority of the class. To make it worse, participation was worth 50 pts for the semester. Losing 25 pts just for participation was one reason i got the 89.8 From what I heard, participation ISNT even allowed by our school district to be included in the grade.

She grades participation on how she feels and she could have easily given me just enough points for me to get a B.

There were some kids in my situation who received the A

She says she doesnt give extra credit, however some ppl were aloud to get 110% on the biggest presentation, and they weren't even that great, they were just the people she liked. There was also another person who presented, who has NO relevant info, but she still gave her an A, while she docked 10 points out of 100 to my classmate (male) for not answering one question righ

I have a learning disability and never learned much
in special education.I was always terrible in English.
College SAT how can you expect me to score good when most the material on the test is maeterial that was never presented to me?
All I ask is the day to come that I can go to
school and not have any trouble.Am I wrong
for wanting that? I was told I could not be helped.
In my time it was easier not to help me and let
me fall through the cracks. How the Heck did I
pass the GED? My parents don't see how I did
it.

The correct usage of referencing a person or persons of the female gender is:

1 person is referred to as a woman
example: Bob ordered a drink for the woman sitting at the end of the bar.

2 or more is referred to as women
example: Many women do not like to be called "chicks".

You do not add an S at the end of women.

I just really had to get that off my chest. By the way, some of us really don't care if you call us chicks. :)
