Other than the obvious autumn foliage, what are other things that you can think of that are associated with autumn (clothing, shapes...not so much colour). Your ideas would be greatly appreciated. [This is for a design project]

I have tried memorizing things, but that's no good, I have tried just reading and understanding things, and that seemed to be efficient when my mom made a quick test for me, but when the real test came, I realized I need to do something more other than those things I'd tried.
What are your techniques? Do you write down a chart? Do you summarize it? How can I improve my studying techniques so as to make studying a bit less boring? I need answers.

I will be a junior in the fall and I'm thinking about transferring to a large state university. I also applied to a small school close to home where I would commute. For the past two years, I have commuted to school from home.

I'm not sure if I would like dorm life. I am a quiet, reserved, good student who sometimes gets intimidated around large groups of people I don't know. I'm also a very independent person, especially when it comes to privacy. However, since almost all of my high school classmates moved into dorms, I kind of feel like I will miss out on the college experience if I just commute from home all four years.

Also, unlike most kids, I don't have a problem living at home, where I get along with my parents and I am very comfortable there. I have two very close friends who live at home near me. I just don't know how much I will be missing out.

Any suggestions??

have read that solipsism is also “necessarily incoherent” and “necessarily foundationless” in order for it to make appeal to the rules of logic. And it says the reasonble it is foundationless is because of the language

2. so then why is it that even with this in mind it is still deemed irrefutable? The only thing I can possibly think of is that even though you can prove that there are other minds through the private language argument and show that there has to be a reality through common sense and logic the only reason that the idea of solipsism or brains in a vat even holds up despite all the theories and arguments proving otherwise is because we cant truly know the true nature of reality because we cant rely on our deceptive senses. And if we cant rely on our senses then there is no way that we can prove anything empericaly, and if we cant prove something empericaly then you cant technicaly prove it there. So realy is it that reality does in fact exist? Only we cant prove it empericaly? it seems that solipsism is known to be false and isn’t accepted because it realy only hold up on the technical grounds that you cant prove it empericaly? It would be like asking you to disprove the pink unicorn next to me but with out using your senses. So then realy its not “possible” at all. Its just irrefutable on the technical grounds. It’s a stand point and not a real possibility. Correct

I love being able to answer questions posed by the good people on Yahoo. I am appalled however that the English language is going to be ruined judging from the way people write.I have never seen such poor use of the English language.Far too many people use incorrect grammar.I have seen questions which are not quite specific. The wording is usually appalling as is the use of the words being used in terms of mis-spelling.I also note many punctuation mistake and errors. Many people here have no idea of when to start and end a sentence,or put a comma in it.Many people are clueless when it comes down to using proper English in their replies. If this is what our dumbed-down education system is teaching people these days,no wonder so many of them cannot read or write properly. Is it not about time English was given a priority in our education system? Is it not time people were taught to write properly or read properly? Clearly from here in the many Yahoo! forums the answer is clearly no! Alan L.
