It's good that you expressed yourself, it's bad you or the guidance counselor told your parents you went to guidance. It seems your parents have extreme discipline when it comes to grades, the best you can do is make up the assignment if you can and move on. And if you get that child to parent talk, tell them to ease up just a bit, excessive discipline is a bad influence, and in a way you're not being a bad example for your siblings unless they can see your grades and work too. I'm a soph too, the best answer is, just push through High School and give it your 110% because it's one of the most important events in your life that will judge how you are going to live. Are you going to be that bum in a cardboard box or are you going to be the person to rise to the challenge and make that 7 digit salary?

Think about this. They are hired by a bureaucratic system, probably as union workers, and have a very limited point of view on this world. Even if they know better personally, it is their job to follow the Politically Correct line. And if you were not conforming to what he was supposed to be promoting, he had to say that you would not be successful.
Having said that, please understand that $8,057 does not sound like much in most places. I sincerely hope you live in an area with an extremely low cost of living.
Still, as you are apparently pretty young, you will undoubtedly go much further eventually. For the counselor to say that you would NEVER make more was clearly stupid, since you have already surpassed that level.

They go into guidance to get out of actual teaching. They are still screwing up young peoples' lives and I graduated from a top notch public high school in 1965! (ranked in the top ten in the US)

Obviously, if they were that good at predicting, they wouldn't just be school guidance counsellors, would they? Congratulations on your raise.
