i want to actually learn ASL. from the basic. i want to be fluently at it. though i don't know anybody that's deaf, but i'm just really interested in ASL. should i learn it? if so, where to start? i want to learn online free or cheap cost. & guarantee result. PLEASE HELP!

She always says I cant do the majority of my english work in class...only what we are doing at the time....like, I write better at home because that class is so loud so I try doing my other work...then she says I HAVE to write my story right NOW. Then I leave my binder in her class and she doesnt remember where she put it or if she even found it. Now I am going to get an F on my work for that. Then I ask her to read my papers and she says she is always too BUSY...so how am I supposed to know if it is okay...
She is just so annoying and picks favorites...what do you think of all this whining? Any pointers?

I'm currently 15 and in Scotland. I have been inspired in the last few years, and I wish to spend my life finding out how the world works. Honestly. It's a sort of ecstatic desire that leaves me without a doubt. I want to try all kinds of things in life, and record ideas that come to my mind, which I find most people just forget about. I've implemented GTD, been playing the guitar, about to start programming, and equally important to me is to find out about the human mind and emotions. One thing I found is that every emotion I can think of is based off hope/possibilities. The innovation of everone together is also inspiring. I'm in second last year of secondary school, and I just want to ask you guys about some ideas for my way to life. It could be what subjects to take in the final year, some random, awesome thing u discovered, a career that you once considered but decided you would just be the next billinaire ;) Tell me if you need more of my academic details. I like risks.

I've decided to take the most rigorous course schedule that I can in high school to get into an Ivy League. So far, honors classes have been a joke to me (100% in PreCalculus! WOOT!).

Anyway, I was thinking about taking 14 APs my last two years. I am not concerned with the difficulty of the three math courses (AP Calculus AB, BC, and AP Statistics) or the English courses (AP English 11 and 12 are the only ones...).

I do need help with my Humanities/Social Studies classes. I have to take AP US History (for a US History requirement) in junior year and I need three others. Are any courses easier or better alongside another? I've heard that AP US Gov goes well with AP Comp. Gov, but I'm interested in AP Psych too... Does anyone have any recommendations for the top four AP Social Studies courses (and in what year/order to take)? By the way, my school offers the following AP classes:

US History
Psychology
US Government
Comparative Government
European History

My school is having this Italian fest thing and because I take Italian I have to attend or loose 300 points. I was planning on going but my teacher said she would choose people to dance an Italian dance in the middle of the room in front of like 300 people and I got sick at the thought. She announced today that I would be one of the dancers and I wanted to cry! (pathetic?) I tried to tell her without crying that I couldn't dance, dress up (believe me I REALLY CANNOT dress up), and dance BAREFOOT and she just said 'yes you can we'll practice' as if all i cared about was how i danced. I don't know what to tell her! I can't express how much I don't want to do this. if she doesn't let me go, i'm just going to fake sick or an injury because i really can't do this. WHAT SHOULD I TELL HER? please help me!!!

I really want to get in it because I want to go to Duke University so I need to get in. I have a 3.7 average. I am in sixth grade right now. I have been in trouble before but not an office referal. I heard you would have to have teacher recomendation but I KNOW that my teachers wouldn't recomend me. Unless my spanish teacher could. Has anyone been in it or knows what is required to enroll in it? Because I need to get in it.
