Have you ever noticed when you're in the shower that no water gets in your eyes?

Your whole face is has actually formed from our ancestors to protect the most sensitive part, your eyes. So, if water, sweat, or some other substance were to drip down your face, it would be caught in the eyebrows, drip to the sides of your face, or drip down the curves on the side of your face. Eyelashes aren't really there to keep out dust; they're actually a reinforcement to that eyebrow protection.

Eyebrows function as sweat shields. When you sweat, your eyebrows are supposed to soak up the sweat, although they dont always do that very well.
