I really want to get in it because I want to go to Duke University so I need to get in. I have a 3.7 average. I am in sixth grade right now. I have been in trouble before but not an office referal. I heard you would have to have teacher recomendation but I KNOW that my teachers wouldn't recomend me. Unless my spanish teacher could. Has anyone been in it or knows what is required to enroll in it? Because I need to get in it.

You have to be in the very top percentages of you classes and of good character. I was a charter member in our high school. It looks good on your transcript. We did not have the National Honor Society at our school.

I don't have any idea about beta club, but I have a general piece of advice.
You're in 6th grade.
I promise you that no college looks that far back.
They're only interested in 9th forwards. And while it's great to be into Duke now, there's no guarantee that you'll be in 5 years time.
So just take a deep breath there.
