I recieved a phlebotomy certificate about 4 years ago. I didn't never use it because i had just finished that particular course and then i dropped out of the school. When i recieved it in the mail, i thought that it just meant that i finished the class. I don't really know if that means that i am certified to do it or not.

The Kalamazoo Promise allows all students who reside in the Kalamazoo Public Schools (Michigan) and who attend the public schools the opportunity to have up to 100% of their tuition paid for at any Public Michigan College. They have to maintain a certain GPA and have some limitations put in place to reduce abuse of this system. It is totally funded by private donations and will be offered to the Kalamazoo Pblic Schools for at least the next 13 years or until funds run out for that program.

Would you like to see this program offered at more public schools? Why or why not?

My daughter is nineteen, with a different calling than most. She chose a career in Funeral Services, is taking classes at a Community College in hopes of tranferring to another College later for the specialty classes. But she has just been diagnosed with Lyme Disease (had it unknowingly her whole life) and the first treatment of 11 months did not work. She is trying a second treatment that is uncertain. Meanwhile she has extreme fatigue, depression, low immunity, flu-like symptoms, and foggy brain which affect her studies and attendance. She has had to write a letter to have her financial aid reinstated because her grades were too low. Now she is only permitted to do half-time, and she has to redo several classes. She is frustrated and about to quit. She is also interested in New Age stuff and has lately considered opening a shop with tarot card fortune telling. I hate to see her give up on her dream. Any ideas or comments?

It may be the questions are easier or that they are becoming more intelligent,(I dont doubt the former but for the wrong reasons) afraid its neither they simply copy everything from the Internet and in cases pay for this service.but interesting to note that languages have suffered badly. Can we really have pass rates of 98% without questions being asked. But then it makes the government look good.

Germans come from Germany, brazilians from brazil, etc.
Why do people use the word "americans" when they talk about a person how was born (or somehow nationalized) in the USA?? In fact, America is a whole continent, not just a country. Of course the USA is economically "the country", but that doesn't mean is the only one in the continent. Is there another way to call them, instead of americans or northamericans?

I'm a 13 year old girl, and I'm just biting off more than I can chew! I'm an an advanced program at school, with 2-4 hours of homework anight, and I do gymnastics 5 days a week! I'm exhausted at the end of the day and I'm averaging 6 hrs. or sleep a night. I know something's gotta give, but I love gymnastics and I love learning quickly! And on top of all that, I keep getting sick from lack of sick and losing weight. The doctor says I need to gain some, but I jsut don't have any appetite anymore. I have great friends, but now they ALL go to a different school than I do and I rarely see them. I thought things would be better in the summer, but I just have extra gymnastics practice plus summer tennis team AND a ton of summer homework. Help!
