Is it too late for me to use my phlebotomy certificate?

I recieved a phlebotomy certificate about 4 years ago. I didn't never use it because i had just finished that particular course and then i dropped out of the school. When i recieved it in the mail, i thought that it just meant that i finished the class. I don't really know if that means that i am certified to do it or not.

Contact the place you got it from and ask.

It depend on many factors, where do you live in? California require you to attend an accrediated program to have license issue. Even if your state does not have license law, most employer still want to see you pass a national certificatoin exam. Some of the more common one are the ASCP, AMT, NCA, NCCT.

Contact either your state secretary of state's office for phelbotomy regs, or contact the ppl who issued your license. (Does it have an expiration date?)
