I dropped out of school after 11th grade and that was several years ago. I knew I wouldn't make it and a few teachers told me that themselves.

You should take it because you'll either be working construction or flipping burgers for the rest of your life. How big of an idiot are you if you can't pass a GED exam? Do you drink heavily or do drugs?

"few teachers told me that themselves" this is reason enough to prove that you can do it. for the rest of your life (unless you own a company) you will have some sort of superior telling you what to do at your job. if you easily believe what others tell you... you won't be able to believe in yourself and go very far.

i believe you should get some tutoring and attempt to take the test UNTIL you pass it. go to barnes and nobles and find testing aides that will help you study. high school education prepares you for the basics in life (not every personal thing you will encounter, but the basic stuff nonetheless)... reading, comprehending, grammar, basic math skills that you will use everyday, health/sex edu., speech (getting over your fear to speak in public), science (why things happen), p.e.(to teach you to become physically fit).

without that GED you will never be able to get a job that will pay you more than $9/hr and you will struggle financially. if you choose to have a family someday, (and god forbid if you have to do it as a single parent)... your children will be affected as well.

YOU CAN DO ANYTHING...if you REALLY WANT IT BAD ENOUGH!!!

Don't give up, keep trying. The fact that you even bothered to take the GED test proves that you want to succeed in life. Most people that try to find work w/out a H.S. diploma or a GED won't get hired and if they do, it's a crappy and dirty job.
Keep studying. Go to the library and see what they have for study aids for the GED. Call the adult education office and see what they have for you to use. Try, and keep trying! NEVER give up...it's your life. Isn't it worth the effort?

keep studying, remember on them multi choice tests you almost always have two that are clearly very wrong then one right one and one almost right one, if you can eliminate the two that are clear they are wrong you have a 50% chance. I took the HSED program so I could graduate a year and a half early from HS and get into college, I didn't find it to hard (got a perfect score on science and math).

Don't over think, stress yourself out, and the day before the test, just relax, don't want to cram, you will burn out before its test time. also if you want something to in general make your brain work harder try Suduko puzzles, they turbo charge my brain.

You need to get a tutor. Also, you need to find out if you have a learning disability such as dyselxia or another one. There are many helpful programs to help you with your GED. Forget what the teachers told you; they are usually wrong and most are pompous idiots who haven't a clue as to what they are talking about. (Trust me on this one.) Again, get a tutor, find out about learning disabilities, and avail yourself of the study aides for getting your GED.

There are classes available to help you to remember many things that you have probably forgotten since it was several years ago that you were in school. Hang in there and don't give up. Your reward will be worth the struggle.

Why should you take it? So that you can get a job.
Have you taken any prep courses for the exam? You might want to try that.

Your efforts may fail but don't fail to make efforts.

Patience, persistence, prayers and hard work will fetch you success, God willing.
