Your manager at work has advised you that you and two of your coworkers will be visiting
a branch of your company in another country. Select a country that you would like to
learn more about. Then, conduct an Internet or library search regarding the nonverbal
and verbal communication styles in this country.

Write a memo to the manager in the scenario summarizing your findings and explaining
how you would use the information to enhance communication during your visit to this
country. You may use the memo template at the BAC Web site to complete this
assignment. The minimum word count for this assignment is 350 words.

I have read quite a few answers and I have talked to some individuals in real life about this and I get the impression that what you earn a degree in is not as important as your work ethic, your ability to network, among other things. On the other hand, there are also others who say that it absolutely matters what you get your degree in and people will respect you more if you major in certain subjects. What do you think?

The premise of the essay is:
Describe a significant setback, challenge or opportunity in your life and the impact that it has had on you.

Do I write it as a personal narrative then?

"S’better not to say anything than not doing anything about the issue of sustainability".

I would very much appreciate it if anyone could revise the grammar mistakes in this statement. It would be great if you could make it sound/become better. Thank you in advance!

I'm writing an essay about a book I read. The book is written in past tense but my essay is in present tense. When I quote text from the book, there are past tense verbs in the text, is this going to be a problem in keeping a consistent tense?

Here's an example:
Macondo represents a communal society where equality is important. Looking at Jose Arcadio Buendia’s planning of the town, “[he] had set up the placement of the houses in such a way that from all of them one could reach the river and draw water with the same effort, and he had lined up the streets with such good sense that no house got more sun than another during the hot time of the day.”
