i got accepted to every state college and got quite a few scholarships but i still am going to end up having to owe about 40k after my four years (tuition+ room and board is 24k per year)
but a community college offered me a full ride: books+ fees+ tuition are all paid and i get to keep my grants. where should i go?

check into seeing what credits you can transfer to any of the state colleges you got into with your major and i would suggest going to community college and then transferring, that should definitely help the cost, and you can still get your state college major diploma.

Community college is always the best choice for your first 2 years or so. Its cheap and you can get all the boring classes out of the way. Check with the university you want to attend and find out the minimum number of hours that they will require for a diploma from their institution, then go to community college all the way up to that point. Its a waste not to. You will also be much happier in life when you can be financially independant a few years earlier.

It depends on what field you want to go into after you graduate. If getting educated at the community college will get you the career you want, I'd say go for it.
