It's my senior year..and I've applied to nursing programs for the past 3 semesters and haven't been accepted..I began to do nursing only b/c my parents made me. Now im thinking I need to find another major and graduate..but what other majors can I apply most of these nursing pre-reqs to? I'm willing to get a master's degree once I'm done too...
I'm sooo lost and confused = /

I highly recommend speaking to an academic advisor at your school. They can go over your coursework with you and determine how your credits can be applied to different majors. I think the answer depends on the type of school you're attending and what programs they offer. Biology may be a good choice, but not if the nursing classes are different than the classes for the major (which was the case with several nursing prereqs at my school). If your school offers a lot of options, perhaps you wouldn't have to change your focus very much. I bet an appointment with an academic advisor would be very helpful for you!

Try going for a biology major. Most of your nursing prerequisites can be applied toward the bio degree.

you should go with bio. its the closest to your major so you probably already have a lot of the required classes.

on the other hand, if nursing is not what you want to do, why not go for what you want?? i know you don't want to throw away 3 years of hard work but start over while you can. after leaving college, choosing a different path is much harder. one single (yet difficult) decision can make a real difference in your future.

good luck choosing!!

You might look at Kinesology, physical therapy, movement therapy, social work might fit if you like working with people (though many of the prereques will be different). You might talk to your advisor if there are any options for a special design your own major (e.g. liberal studies) since you have applied to nursing and not gotten in.

Have you thought about emergency medicine? The pre-req's will generally transfer over and you can make pretty good money on the Hilo's and even work for like fire departments and stuff.
