1.Trace the references to the beast in the novel thus far. Parallel that with the diminishing sense of order on the island & the boys' gradual embracing of Jack's savagery. What's the true nature of the beast on the island that Simon's unable to verbally define?
2. Discuss how & why Jack disrupts the meeting. What is at the core of the power struggle between he and Ralph? What techniques of anarchy & disruption does Jack apply? What is the result? What does it tell you about the characters of Jack & Ralph?

Chapter 6: "Beast From Air"
1. Consider the character of Jack Merridew. How does he appear to be a qualified leader? What are his actual qualifications? Would he be a good leader? Why or why not? Compare him to Ralph. Who's better suited to lead the boys? Generally sum up why Jack's character's introducing anarchy on the island & how?

Bascially in a nutshell we did a group project and we all had to do our part. At the end, we had to grade each other, and we were not supposed to see what the others gave us. I turned in my grade sheet, and looked down to see that she gave me a poor rating, and put down that she did not want to work with me again. I felt that I did a lot for the group, I bought the food which cost about 20 bucks, and did my part, maybe not the way she wanted it. I want to know it you think it's a good idea to talk to the professor even though we were not supposed to look at the sheet. I did gave everyone a perfect score by the way.

This year I enrolled a boarding school but I didn't like it so I came back to my home (took me about 2 weeks). and I decided to enroll highschool that I went last year. However since my address belongs to another weird school I had to go there reluctantly.
I tried to get used to that school but I couldn't,, I got depressed and.... but I turned in a transfer request form and it got approved !
I was so happy and I studied really hard in the school that I wanted to go to and got straight A's for the 1st quarter. However I noticed that the weird school that I didn't want to go to... transferred totally stupid grades to the school I love and they were all F's !!!! except for English and P.E.. Although I made my grades all A's... someone said the transferred grades are going to follow me FOREVER and college will look at it... Is that TRUE? even though I made them all A's at the last?

Your in a car with a group of you friends and exam week has just finished. one of your friends wants the person who is driving to take him to a class building on university property where he hacks into exam grades and gives himself a 90 which sets the curve for the final to his grade cause it was the highest grade in the class you dont find out about this till you reach the bar and you were in the car what do you do?

So our organic chemistry class has two midterms (worth 25% each) and a final (worth 50%). I did pretty good on the first midterm (B+/A-), and then probably got anywhere from a C- to a D on the second one. Definitely not so great for medical school admissions. What should I do? Should I stick it out and work my a** off for the final and hope I pull off a B overall in the class, or if I do bad have to retake it (to replace the original overall grade with the re-take but have a transcript mark noting I took the class twice). Should I drop it (and get a transcript mark noting that I did drop it past drop-period?) and then take it again? How will this impact my chances for getting in to med school?

in the past few days, i have gotten letters from small colleges like ball state, spring anbor, drexal and bellemirne. they all have my email, my address and my hobbies(Tennis, i played varisty on the team but not the top spot). they are are saying something like ( i know your still a shopmore in high school but i want you to come to our college because it has this and this and saying they will mail me a free brouchers like thing about there college)
is this some advertisvment thing for did i actully do sometinhg to derseve colleges looking at me? what dose this mean ?
How do they know all that stuff about me?

If you work at a university and apply to a graduate program at your school, would that help your admissions chances at all?

What if you were an alumnus of the university, then worked at the same school?
