Criminal Justice - Used for police, FBI, ATF, CSI, etc.
Public Administration - More general can have various areas of focus can be used in any government work
ISCOR - International Security and Conflict Resolution - Specifically the conflict resolution portion is highly sought after in many security related fields.

As with all jobs nowadays the more you know the better your chances are at getting the job you want.

Criminal Justice is a field commonly studied by people interested in security, but w/ vast demand for improvements more people are studying Information Technology and Business Administration

depends what you mean by security, probably to join one of the armed forces rather than a degree, unless you mean installing something such as CCTV or other electonics then it is not a degree you need but a 16th edition electricians certificate, you could try psycology or forensics instead though

Of course it matters how bloddy you want to get your hands. you can always go the route of sitting behind a desk and looking at images which is referred to as imint (image intel) we call them squints. or you could listen in on conversations and transmissions (sigint) signal intel. Or you can go the uber cool route and go Humint , human intel do source collecting and clandestine ops. Considering the biggest threat the world will see in the next 2o years is terrorism, humint will be much more in demand. part of humint is counterintell. terrorist and spy hunters. deep cover, exciting stuff.

Abuse of power

In America, we can all get away with these things in the security field.

i would look into a train the trainer program, that way you can train people to train others etc.
