I'd like advice from anyone who is/has studied pharmacy. I got a 26 on the ACT and consider myself fairly intelligent. I'm going to be transferring from Youngstown State University (20 Average ACT) to Ohio State (26 Average ACT). I am considering either agribusiness or pharmacy and would like to know how tough a Pharm.D is to complete. Thanks!

I'm intelligent, and I want to earn my degree...but, sitting in a classroom, listening to 'talking-heads', has me bored and falling asleep. Surely, there's another way?

I'm leaving for college at the end of the summer, but my mom has recently dropped a bomb on me: I'm not allowed to take my car with me. She claims that every one she's talked to has said that if I have a car during college, i'll neglet my studies and do nothing but cruise around pointlessly.

This isn't anything even close to my personality, but it's what she believes.

Unfortunately, it's vital to me that I work thhough college, to minimize the effects of student loans and such, but without a car, there's no way I can get to the nearest town to seek employment. Or to get to a job if i'm able to secure one.

Does my mom have a point, or is she just being paranoid?
