The reasons are far too obvious and numerous to list. You should know this. You should also know that no country exists in isolation anymore. The world shares its economy and has begun to mingle its cultures and standards of living. Common language will assist the process. It is already here and will not end any time soon, so development of a common language is inevitable...but English as the dominant form is unlikely. The most likely scenerios call for a "creole" type fusion of English, Spanish, Chineese with a few other influences.

History suggests that the language of the nation with the most important military and such a lot guns is the only without doubt to grow to be the worldwide language, and then its audio system will give an explanation for that the rationale is its good judgment and cosmetic. As an English speaker, and frequently ESL trainer, I'm mindful of its flaws, ridiculous spelling and complicated phrasal verbs amongst others. Spanish has logical spelling, however the formal vs. casual "you" and the mission of gender to inanimate items appear needless to English audio system. And every language has verb tenses that the opposite will get alongside very good with out. I've not ever studied Esperanto, an artificially constructed language intended to be logical and really effortless to be taught. If that is precise, it probably the first-class option, nevertheless it ain't gonna occur.

Language is the set of common symbols by which humans communicate. By speaking the same language, we improve communication.

The opposite of that is the teen-ager who speaks slang, and then complains to his parents "You just don't understand me."

Because language represents our thoughts, it helps to shape them, as well. Learning another language isn't just about memorizing words and grammar. You can also learn to "think" in that language, and gain a better understanding of the culture.
