I am filling out the FAFSA and I am stuck about the section where they ask for my tax info. I am currently 18 and just started a job 3 months ago, working part-time... I've earned a total of only about
$1200. Do I still have to file my taxes in order to fill out the FAFSA. I do however have my W-2, so is that enough...
Could someone please help me... I'm so confused!!!

Interest rate on one loan that was approved( for student, father cosigner ) was high. Any lender you know of that would give a loan to the student at the lowest rate available? Was approved by My Rich Uncle but do not want it at 16% interest.

so well i'm a high school freshman, and i'm just now getting to know about the FAFSA from books. And from what I see, it's a process by which students with financial problems can file so they'll get a certain amount of money to pay for college, depending on your situation. Am I right? anyone who has gone through the process and can inform me as much as possible would be deeply appreciated.

Now, The over payment they said was due to the fact that my gpa defiency was low and that they had given me a pell grant from thestate and now I owed then 900. In the letter they said that If I did not pay they would intercept any monies from the state. So I just did my tax return a few weeks ago and was going to receive a 2k refund from the FEDS and a 300 refund from the state. Well, my skewl intercepted the 300.00 and my question now is will my school take the remaining 600 i owe from my FED refund?

I just got the results back from my FAFSA with an extremely high EFC ($70,000+). Is this what my family is expected to pay over all for years or just for one year? We are solidly middle-class, with only one working parent, and live in a very expensive city, so this seems awfully high. Any way to lower the number/appeal?

Thank you so much.

I heard that the government will take you income tax refund if you are in default on your student loans. Is this true? Is it a certain percentage or the entire amount you're due to get back? Help!! I am scared to file my taxes

I want to go to WVU next year for my Masters but am unsure how expensive it will really be. This is mostly because I don't know how much money you can borrow each semester on top of tuition costs. This is the main problem because I have a family now and need enough money to at least pay my bills and everything else.

I have a few school loans.. I think one pell grant and the rest are federal ones that I have taken out to pay for the rest of school.. but what I want to know is.. do they send you some kind of form around this time of the year so you can take it in when you do taxes.. or do you just bring in the stuff you already have. And would I get any money back at all on either loans? Thanks!
