hi there, i want so bad to go back to school, i ama 24 year old student and i do have a good amount of years and classes to go before i can get my bachelor's i'm guessing 2 or 3 years. Well I want to go back to school since due to life;s many surprises i find myself in so much debt, about 20,000. I want to pay it off asap and i heard financial aid will help me pay off those bills, PLUS my rent and cost of attendance at my university. Is all that true? I figured if i go back to school and not have to pay off my loans til after i graduate it would be no problem because hopefully i'd have a decent paying job by then, so that can't be that bad right? OR should i get a scholarship, I really don't have any special assets or skills...i don't have family contact for the last few years so I can't ask for any help.. thank u so much for your time

I just graduated from college and am currently unemployed. Since I make next to nothing, how difficult would it be for me to qualify for welfare assistance & receive foodstamps?

Can anyone with experience point me in the right direction, and let me know just how difficult the process actually is and what it entails?

**I am a young white single male, but my income is well below the poverty level. **

Thanks in advance.

I am a college student, and would like to participate in volunteer work in Costa Rica, or another country. However, the trips are quite expensive...so I was wondering if anyone knew of a quick and/or reliable website or organization that gives out scholarships to pay for students who wish to do international or overseas developmental or humanitarian work. Thanks!

I'm looking for effective scholarship searches. If you have won a scholarship you found using a search or service, please list the search or service.
I would also like to know if there are any regional scholarship services within South Carolina.

The mom is a bus driver - made about $8,800 and is trying to claim $2,500 as wages from a Pell Grant. She is required to show her ex-husband her income so that she will be able to claim a child on Income taxes to IRS. She has to make at least $10,300.00 to be able to claim 1 child. Can she legally do this?

I have a LARGE amount of student loans, both federal (consolidated) and private. My private loans are on a variable interest rate. I feel like I am spinning my wheels paying each month to a balance that doesn't seem to move.

What can I do? Should I put the fixed rate loans in deferrment and pay double on the variable rate loan?

I am pretty sure that I won't qualify for financial aid, but I'm ranked 2nd in my class, I take all APs, and I did pretty well on both my SAT and ACT. I wanted to know, how much can you usually get if you have stats like me?
