I am a college student, and would like to participate in volunteer work in Costa Rica, or another country. However, the trips are quite expensive...so I was wondering if anyone knew of a quick and/or reliable website or organization that gives out scholarships to pay for students who wish to do international or overseas developmental or humanitarian work. Thanks!

I don't know of any that work on a national level; most financial aid for study abroad is linked to the school where you are enrolled. Check with your study abroad office or perhaps your school's service learning program, if you have one. If you are an honors student, check with your Honors Program director, and your Dean's office may know of something (at my school, there are some scholarships given to particular Colleges for this purpose, and some which will support students going to particular countries).
