I have recently started a PhD but had a student loan for my degree, but I get a bursary....do I have to start repaying now??

You will not have to start repayment until you are no longer enrolled at least half time in an eligible program. You can get an in school deferrment from your lender.

you only have to start paying back yor loan when you are working full time...or thats how they sold it to me lol! give your awards agency a wee call and find out for certian. im sure they will be fine as you are still in FT education.

no what you need to do is file for a deferance upon graduation most creditors will defer your loan until you are done with school if you are enrolled atleast half time. Atleast mine did.....
