so well i'm a high school freshman, and i'm just now getting to know about the FAFSA from books. And from what I see, it's a process by which students with financial problems can file so they'll get a certain amount of money to pay for college, depending on your situation. Am I right? anyone who has gone through the process and can inform me as much as possible would be deeply appreciated.

its highly recommended that all students apply for the fafsa, also depending on your financial situation, fafsa will pay for books, tuition etc,. and any money left over is for YOU. but you must report that money on your tax return form as a form of payment. you can also check out the fafsa website.

U are correct. The FAFSA gives you a EFC #.. Colleges use that number to determine how much and what type aid you will get.. The less you and your parents make,. the better. It's very easy to fill it out.. just follow the directions. It's a little early for that though.. Fill it out when you become a senior
