I will be taking the ACT in April, so I can't apply until then

No it's not..However, know that most deadlines are March or April for things like state grants, private grants thru the school, etc. If I were you I would fill it out w/o listing an ACT score.. you can go back then and change the info or add it.. They will go by the first application date.. If you wait till you get the results of the ACT back, you won't have a shot at anything but maybe pell and loans.

it might be a bit tight to get in but its possible, I have had friends that have done it. check with your college on their admissions enrollment, and if anything I know you can take the entrance exams to get admitted when ACT and SAT scores arent ready yet, I took dual-enrollment and I took the testing for a community college to get in and when I finally got my SAT and ACT scores they compared the scores and placed me in the proper classes. just ask the administrator's test about options for school placement testing. sad thing about this is that you HAVE to take them at the university/college, so out of state colleges or like hours away college it'll be tough. but good luck to you!
