I have a physical disability and was wondering if anyone knew of any scholarships for handicaped kids trying to get ready for college.

i've been doing some research n such on scholarships..
and alot are kind of hard to find.

i'm only a freshman in highschool this year, and i'd like to get a head start on looking for ways to pay for college..

anyone know of specific lowerclassmen scholarships or good sites..

i have accounts in few of them like fastweb. but some are still hard to find.

I just got my award letter and it says

Estimated tuition: $7896
Housing/Meals: $9504
Books/Supplies: $1756
Indirect costs: $6344

My award money im being offered per quarter is

Summer: $2,468
Autumn: $2,468
Winter: $2,468
Spring: $1,032

Im getting $8,438 total for one year.

DO I HAVE ENOUGH FINANCIAL AID AWARDS TO ATTEND THIS SCHOOL

I have to find a cost of a camp fee for one person which costs 2400 dollars a day with all the equiment and staff and etcs for camp and how much will it be for 25 person each.
I have found the answer but I wasn't so sure about it...
$2400 is for the camp one day and don't know the fee for 25 person each/individual..

I received my financial aid package and I have to say that I am quite disappointed. I was granted $14,560 and the estimated cost of attendance for an out of state student is $27,920. I have $13,360 gap, how can I ask for more financial help? I do not want to get loans right now, I have heard way too many horror stories of people “in debt up to their eyeballs”. I was only offered one scholarship which is $18,000 for 4 years, there is no way that I can attend Iowa state university with a $14,560 grant. My family EFC is $1,964, shouldn’t I be offered more aid and what can I do to receive more aid?
I have a pretty good grade, 3.7GPA and top of my class.

I have a ten year old son who was nominated by his teacher to an academic academy in Illinois and he was accepted. However the problem is that it is $1700 for one week. He will be attending in the beginning of the summer. His father and I would like to be able to split the cost. So I need some ideas to make $850 within the next month or so. If you have any suggestions please let me know.

the fafsa doesn't give me enough money to live off of for college. i have huge medical bills and need more money so i can survive.

i thought about work, but there are no jobs around, and the only jobs open are not college friendly and conflict with my college schedule.

I know about Fastweb, but I haven't found exactly what I'm looking for. I'm looking for first of all any scholarships that are available to people going into education. I'm also looking for scholarships for men going into elementary education. I know people say thats sexist or whatever, but I find that hard to believe when women going to engineering (a friend of mine...cough...cough) get scholarships. Any scholarships for English Majors would also be appreciated!

I was just wondering...

Is it typical for a college to offer more grants, loans, stuff like that to someone who's living independantly from his parents, or would it make no difference? I'm asking because I'm planning on moving out this summer, so having to pay for my housing and everything on my own will pretty much mean I'll be broke.

I am renewing my FAFSA for 2007-2008. Last year I did it wrong because I put my legal guardians as my parents. There is really no place to explain my situation because I am not a ward of the state, but my mother is dead and my father left me so my grandparents are my legal guardians. How can I explain this on my FAFSA?

I was fortuanate enough to recieve a lot of financial aid, mostly scholarships and grants. Can I use that scholarship money to pay for an apartment. I know I can use it to pay for a dorm, but I like apartments a lot better, since the room is much bigger.
