the closest city too me is Pttsburgh witch is 2 hours from Altoona PA.i have tried ovr here in altoona. but they won't fund me too go the school. i'm willing too travel too Johnstown or Pittsburgh.
any advice.

If someone is on financial aid that pays for them to go to whatever college they go to and they suddenly have a relative die and they inherit $, will their financial aid be cut off?

My friend went to a private college two years ago and they gave him a student loan for school.

Now he have 1 semester left and he dropped school - after the 6 month grace period

$27,000 original money- After interest its 52,000 over 20 yrs.

His job only giving him 30,000 a year and he can't save not even a $100 amonth over all.

The minimum payment for the loan is $217.00 and he hardly live with his salary now.


Please advice what he should do.
FYI the loan is on his credit report. and he has a SSN. and going to apply for citizenship if this helps.

Well I got loans and a grant and I dropped out midterm. Now I have to pay back part of the financial aid. I know I screwed up. Anyways, if you pay it back will they still give you financial aid or did u just screw yourself? THanks.

I'm gradutating this spring with a BFA in advertising art direction from a prestigious art school in NYC. The starting salary in our industry is around $35,000 - $40,000. I have a student debt of about $50,000. How can I pay this off at a reasonable rate and still be able to afford an apart in NYC? Is there anybody else in my situation? Is $50,000 too much debt for an undergrad?

I have 18,000 in student loans and only have 6 months until I start making payments on them. Most of them started out at 2.50% interest and are now at 6.0%. 6,000 of the debt is at 8.95 interest. I am a Student Ambassador in the People to People program and I wanted to know if you could send me some information about getting a grant. I am currently a High School sophmore in Fairfax, VA with a 3.8 GPA. I have attended other leadership conferences and would like to add People to People to that list. Ok, before i dropped my class, I had contacted the financial aid office at my school.They told me that if i dropped one of my classes in november then i wouldn't owe any money. I dropped it in november and then received a letter stating that i have to pay some of the financial aid back to school. The financial aid office didn't specify the exact date- just the month. I dropped it on February 8, and if i did it the week later i wouldn't owe any fees. I feel like i've been mistreated. Any suggestions please!!!

i am currently in student loan suspension at my college?? and they asked me if i could appeal for it, but i couldn't really say it was work , family, or medical, because i would have to prove it some way?? any way i passed all my classes except my math class, and i really do not know what to say as a reason for my appeal. they asked me that i could also get some recomendation from one of my teachers, but i am not really close with any one of them, just because i am shy, and also i would feel a great burden on myself not to let them down.. any way any good reason.
