i've now been teaching english for 4yrs.i had issues as an NQT,but then sorted out the lesson planning,behaviour management,results etc.the so called lack of respect just doesn't apply because i always follow up on any issues.all the lesson planning is done as a department on inset days and meeting times,and we aim not to do anything after 430 or 5 at the latest.why are so many teachers complaining?also,after applying and getting promoted 2yrs in a row,and as head of department at 25 i earn over twice as much as my doctor friends,and hope to keep climbing the ladder to headteacher (110k+ see nut website for full info on teachers pay).
Is it poor organisation?lack of motivation?can i have positive comments from teachers who love their jobs as much as me,please?!

Good pay.good holidays.working with fantastic young people.it's definitely not for everyone,but we chose this profession.if we don't enjoy it why not retrain;we all have good university degrees.comments?

Like a caregiver is giving, rebels stuggle against the status quo, and a jester finds humor in any situation. I can't think of a word for a person who is stubborn.

I know about the primary stuff like not to cram and find out whether your a visual learner, audio learner, action learner i know all that but i need to know when you actually open the book and looking at all the text whats the most effective path to go? ok im in hs and i have a gpa of about 3.6, 2 honors and will take ap calc nex yr. i have 5 yrs of sciences (3 regents) 2 math rengents and all the other ones and i guess ill have a an sat of about 1800. i was wondering since i have no idea of a carrer. should i just goto a college and figure it out there, or is that not a good idea? whats a good college. like stony brook or nyu normal prgram. im so confused what if out of no where i decide i want to be a lawyer or docotor or something will it be too late? im so confused and scared. are my grades decent?

My last post's responses determined that I will give them to her 1 a day for 25 days leading up to her birthday.

NOW I need ideas of what I can get her.... I also need to be able to afford them :-)

I realize college is important and that getting a good education is paramount in life, but I just want to be a beutician. Im ranked 5th in my class, have never gotten below a B on a report card, and have gotten a total of 40,000 dollars in scholarships so I know she will be uber dissapointed. Ok, I;m in 7th grade, and in 8th grade pre algebra. We just started working with these problems and i kinda need help.

12% of 44 is what number. and also 55 is 20% of what number.

I looked at the top 10 highest paying jobs out of curiosity -and greed- and I saw most of them are medical, lawyers and such. All of those jobs are around 6-8 years of education. Are there any fun, high paying jobs that aren't so medically inclined? (In the yearly $90,000 area, because thats around what the top 10 jobs pay and i haven't found anything around there that isin't medical and I'm very interested in finding out things like that)

I took a class with him this semester just for credit, and ended up loving the subject. I feel in love with the subject and got a 100% grade in the class. He made it so intresting and I want to consider majoring in it. I want to take the other classes with him too becuase he makes it so simple, fun and rewarding. Plus I heard the other teachers are lame-o. I want to tell him that becuase of him I am considering changing my major becuase he inspired me.
BUT, he is hot, and I don't want him to think I am stalking him, or doing this for his attention. I am not far along at all in my other major. So how do I do this?

My time is limited away from home so an online course would be best suited for me. I was thinking of doing something with Pharmacy technician or Vet Tech. Is it worthy of spending the money on these online programs? Will it help you secure a job or do most places train on the job? Kaplan U has contacted me on Pharmacy Tech. Any opinions out there?
