Education & Reference - 2 November 2007

I am an A+ student I am in the gifted and talented and everything.But latley I've noticed a decline in my grades. I'm in seventh grade. And I have B+'s in 3 classes and A+'s in 3 my parents can't stand anything lower that a A-. Now I'm scared... report cards are coming out and I don't know how to raise my grades up to all A's we have way to many short days and we are not doing alot of work so I cant pull my grades up that way. And also they have to turn in the grades to the office a week before so i really only have 5 SHORT days to pull up my grades. Please help me...and NO my teachers don't do extra credit. (And no negative answers)

Atm im 16 and going to spend the next 10 or so years of my life doing plumbing, its a good paying job but i want to do something at uni, i know i will be able to afford it later on but since i had to leave school half way through the final year. So what can i do to get into a good school (money not a matter) and a good course when at around 26 i have no highscool graduation?

I'm applying for University soon. I can't decide between Business and Science...if I go into Science I eventually want to go into medicine. I have the grades to get into medicine, but business just calls to me.

For as long as I can remember I've wanted to be a Doctor, but when I started working part time I always strived to be better, right after I turned eighteen I became the manager of a fast food restaurant and the restaurant just got better and better under my control.

I honestly think I would be great in either profession. I'm torn.

...what do you think I should do?

hello I graduated from college in Dec. 2006

My ending GPA from that university was a 3.05 with 71 credits

I went to a community college prior to that university (in the same state) and received a GPA of 3.44 with 23 credits

and before that community college i had attended a community college in a different state and got a GPA of 3.63 with 49 credits.

almost all my general requirements were done at the 2 community colleges. however, transferring from one state community college to another state's community college I lost quite a few credits.

I am trying to applying for grad school and they're asking for the total GPA, how do I go about implementing those 3 different GPAs into one...
most schools are looking for a 3.00 GPA or above for all 3 years of college. Now i have an ending GPA of 3.05 at the university however I was only there for 2 years and one semester. The remaining years were at community colleges.

How would they count my GPA??

Right now I'm a freshman in high school aspiring to go to the University of Miami, which is a fairly hard school to get into. I have a 4.0 GPA so far, but it's only my first semester. What I really need is some community service hours; as of right now, I have none! I'm not sure exactly what to do or where to go to get hours. OK Im so lost right now. The divison problem is 25/19654, Ok my answer is 786 remainder is 4. I put it in and it tells me its incorrect. That the correct answer is 786.16 remainder 4. Where does the .16 come in at? How do i come up with that kind of answer. I need to know how to do that on my test or ill fail. Anyone have clue?

My sister in-law called last night to say that her
13 yr old daughter has not been attending school even though she drops her off at the school doors everyday. She said that the school has told her she could be charged and fined $100.00 a day for each day the child is not in school. Can someone tell me more about this. She was also told that child welfare will take away her other child if thiscontinues. they live in edmonton.
They have been having some issues. My understanding is that she has had McMan Youth Services into the home for intervention.
