Perception vs Conception: Because English has never been fully accepted az a language by many European Scholars, gives
me the opportunity to pronounce the word "know" az k'now instead az no. I wuz told that the k in the word iz silent. My learn'n question then iz, which ing not King for the k iz silent started such English expression? If the k iz silent then how should the word know be pronounced? Definitely not "no"!
I'm have'n so much fun spell'n and pronouncing words phoneticly.
English iz not a perfect language and it iz evolving perhaps yearly. I'm so glad to be part of it all, especially on the internet. Aren't U?

PLEASE HELP!

Throughout the novel, I have noticed that Socrates doesn’t change in area of physical toughness. His physical ability remains the same. Mr. Lomax from Cherry Hill Developers sends two African American to empty out Socrates apartment because Socrates was living there illegally. When Socrates saw these men’s throwing his sofa and he had tears in his eyes as he approached. Socrates said to them “you lookin’ to be two dead men” you better get out of here before he was more angrier. Once again, Socrates was an underdog and was twice older than these mens. The men started attacking Socrates but Socrates grabbed by his hair and threw him into the ground. Socrates then picked up the steel pipe that was in his yard and told them to get out from here and he warned them to stay away. We can see how strong Socrates is even when is old. Nothing has changed in his physical toughness. He is not afraid of anyone and believes he is the strongest in LA.

Going off to college at the university of miami this fall...and I don't get my room or roomate information until later on this summer..and I just wanted to know what to expect your first year living away from home? I graduated with a BA in history near the top of my class. But some people have told me it doesn't matter how well I did, becuase I didn't go to an elite college. I'll have trouble getting a job. I went to Texas State University, which probably ranks 5th when compared to the other public universities in Texas. Certainly better than many other colleges in the state.

I think I'm more qualified than a C student at a "better" school. If I'd have worked as hard in high school as I did in college, I could've gone to an ivy. I changed my ways my freshman year of college, and worked as hard as I possibly could at it. So just because I was a slacker as a teenager, does that mean I don't have a bright future?

For over 10 yrs, I have tried to take college classes at two colleges and have failed almost everyone. Most of the classes I took were repeats of failed classes. All-in-all, I have only 12 credits (6 from 12 yrs ago) out of a possible 50+ credits. I really want to get a degree, but i can't seem to pass a class. People say I am intelligent enough to do whatever I want (I have taken a real IQ test and have scored extremely high, above average) but I just can passes test, quizzes, papers, reports, etc. I try my best, study long hrs, and still get bad grades. I want a degree to change jobs (I make good money for what I do, way more than I should without a degree, but I am maxed (and stress) out). Should I try at a 3rd college or try again at one of the other two. Should I just cut my losses and give up? Will I even get accepted into a different college with my transcripts? I know what I want to do in life, but I can't even get into the door without a degree.

how do you handle bullys.. when i was a child they would look the other way.. i really dont see to much inmprovement.. i knew when i was 8 years old i would quit school as soon as i could because of it.. and i did.. went back yrs later for my GED..2 years before i was able to quit everytime i would walk into a class room i would have axitey attacks..i have tried to go back to college but cant seem to do it.. i can how ever do home study and have been.. btw my spell check is not working and my grammer and sentences is off.. cant spell a lick.. yeah i know for those of you who are going to tell me this

I got a BA in history this year, and graduated at the top of my class. I searched for jobs for a few months, but not many played out. So I applied to the graduate program at my school and got in, so I'm going to get an MA in history.

I chose my major because its what I love to study. But I'm beginning to think I should've chosen marketing or business or some other practical major, even though I don't like that stuff.
