My professors are using that word like there's no tomorrow. It seems like it's their favorite word. This morning I heard a tv-host say it... and he said it like he didn't even know what it meant.

I am really nervous going to a place I have never been. I am planning on going to college in Long Island, NY; at the Briarcliffe college to study Digital photography. I have never been there but plan on visiting before applying and meeting with the adminstrators there. Getting all my information and what i need filled out to get financial aid, loans and apply for grants.

I have only really been through New York going through, I wonder if I should just go for it and set my fears aside. I have lived in a rural area all my life in New England area. I wonder if i could stand dorming and staying in the city. Do you think I should just go for it?

I am coming from a place where there are mountains, folliage that changes in the fall, cows!, farms, no traffic only in major towns/cities, no sky scrapers...

We are so lucky to have built an amazing group of homeschool parents and kids over the last 5 years. We started with just a few families and now have over 50 kids in the group. Today we held our last get together of the "year" and had a Field Day. The kids and the parents all had so much fun. Our kids range in age from infant to 15 years old, and they all interact with one another wonderfully.

Tell me about the activities and fun events your homeschool group hosts!

The full text is 'Volo vestri argentum. Volo decoctum is'.
I know that the first sentence means 'I want your money'.

A blogger (Stephen Pollard) has written that Gordon Brown's motto should be: 'Volo vestri argentum. Volo decoctum is'. So perhaps the second sentence means, as one respondent has suggested: 'I want his (emotional/ political) bankruptcy'/ destruction/demise? A reference to his, now ousted, rival, Tony Blair?

The second sentence is very cryptic and open to a number of interpretations. But I think this one might be likely. Thanks to you all for helping me to work it out!

I am going into my Sophomore year of highschool and I took Latin 1 H. I ended up loving it, not finding it extremely challenging, and getting my best final grade in Latin, an A+. I am planning on taking Latin all 4 years of school, and I plan on taking Ancient Greek for the next 3 years as well, in hopes that it will be a challenge. (From what I hear, the other, more standard languages offered at my school are not as difficult as Latin, and I don't want to just take the easy way out, thank you very much) Do you think that taking these languages is a waste of time?
