My professors are using that word like there's no tomorrow. It seems like it's their favorite word. This morning I heard a tv-host say it... and he said it like he didn't even know what it meant.

Yes, I have noticed the word coming back into normal vernacular also.

hmm, no, i didn't notice that more and more people are using that word. but i think the word CAVEAT sounds learned and profound, that's why people who are trying to improve or impress pepper their everyday speeches with these extra vocabulary words.

and repetition is often necessary for these individuals to remember words like CAVEAT :D
