Come up with a thesis stating why you want to be a beauty therapist and give several reasons. Then write a paragraph about each reason and give explicit details and nice anecdotes that help establish your point. Since 500 words isnt that much, try and keep your best reasons and stories. Don't be wordy.

Ok here are the basics of essay writing...There are generally 5 paragraphs (Intro, 3 support, and conclusion). The Intro contains your attention getter, and your thesis. The thesis is a sentence or two that explains your entire essay. It is in the thesis where you will list the three reasons you want to be a beauty therapist (ex. Being a beauty therapist is the right path for me because I enjoy helping people, I enjoy looking for the beauty in people, and I am experienced in fashion and make up.) Your 3 supporting paragraphs will elaborate on your three points and your conclusion is basically a rewording of the Intro.

A catchy first sentence can open up your essay. I don't know about beauty therapists and what they do so how about if I were to want to be a doctor, how would you start?
Maybe something like this: "The human body has always fascinated me" "Whether it was my pet dog or my little sister I was always trying to help them feel better" or "A stethoscope and strong stomach are two tools to becoming a successful doctor..."
I "opened" my essay with something which hopefully will catch their attention. Then the next sentences should lay a foundation for reasons you want to do what you do. Be sure to add examples and short stories to help reinforce your point.

You have to have a very strong introduction paragraph. Don't refer to your paper in your paper. Also don't use contractions such as don't, can't, couldn't, etc. A thesis statement is the last sentence of your intro paragraph that sums up what you are going to talk about. I suggest to not start with a question but maybe with a quote, just something that will make the reader want to continue reading your paper.

Hope this helps :]

u can start off like this....
To begin with, I would like to become a beauty therapist because 1.) reason, 2.) reason and 3.) reason the in your first paragraph talk about your first reason then 2nd p. talk about ur second and so on....
hope that helped ya
:) and good luck.....and make sure you sound like this is something u really want to be.....sound passionate!!
and a thesis statement comes usually at the end of ur 1st paragraph and it tells the reader what to expect in the rest of ur essay...

Take a blank piece of paper. Jot down all your reasons why you want to be a beauty therapist. These can be just notes and they don't have to be in any particular order. Write down all the reasons you can think of. You can always elminate some later, if you want.

That's how you start.

Having all your thoughts in front of you will help you see what you want to write about or what you want to write about first, how you want to start, etc.

Good luck.

whatever choices you make, have your essay spell checked and have someone else proof-read it.
