ok my class jsut finished reading the book Tex by S.E. Hinton, and we are writing a paper worth 55 points (papers in this class are usually only worth about 10) if you have read this book please help me with an opening sentence! we are writing whether or not this book is appropriate for middle schoolers. thanx so much! ♥

I'm a first year undergrad and I'm struggling to make it through school. I work a good bit and spend time with my boyfriend but i also study for tests and do my best to complete assignments. I am almost always exhausted and i often fall asleep in class. Last semester I received two Bs, two Cs, and one D. I just got a test back for statistics and I failed it and I also found out I am failing anthropology. I don't know if I should get a personal loan for next year to cover expenses(not tuition- fafsa covers most of that) and not work. I'm afraid I'm about to fail my classes and my GPA is already 2.1, if you go under 2.0 you are put on academic probation. I really feel like I'm just wasting my time and hate the thought of school but everyone keeps telling me to stick with it. What should I do?

I have a question about APA citations. I know only the first word in the title is supposed to be capitalized, but what if there's a proper noun in the title, like a city name? For example:

'Episodes in the history of New Orleans'. I capitalize it anyway, right?

hi I found a school I am interested in in charlotte north carolina. if any of you on here live in north carolina could you please answer this. is it easy to get a job and live in charlotte. I am a white female sophomore from an average income in high school. I am also the valedictorian of my class. However, grades appear to matter very little. Whenever I attempt to apply for anything to expand my education such as summer programs I find that you must be either a minority or make less then $25,000 for yearly income. I just don't get it. It does not matter how hard I work, it's either become a minority or hand over thousands of dollars to learn something new. Why is it that now it is the color of your skin which determines how much you deserve something and no longer the effort you yourself put in? What happens to the people that don't fall into the categories of rich, poor, or minority. What happens to those who are stuck in the middle? Are they overlooked? Are they forgotten? I am not racist at all. Many of my friends are, in fact of various ethnicities. I'm merely a child trying to figure out how I get a chance, because I surely haven't found it yet.
