As a group we have been set the task of teaching a younger year group (12-13yo vs our 15/16yo group) about Body Image. How can we address them, without being patronising? We have to make it clear that they are not adults yet, and so can't judge themselves in that way, but how do we avoid calling them children or kids? Youths sounds abrubt, and they aren't all teenagers yet.
Any suggestions?

Curse words are just other words for similar words...they have no negative meaning in themselves. It is just what definitions people hear and superstition.

Some one told me as long as you meet OSUs minimum requirements ( 2.0 gpa, and test scores) then, by law, you will be excepted as a TRANSFER student. Is that true???? It's a state school so it sounds possible but it also sounds too easy??

he knows exactly how to hurt me...he goes completely silent and lets me believe it is over forever. I know it is not wise to pursue him 'cause this is how he gets his kicks but does anyone have any "untraditional" ways of getting some communication from him? (I've tried the phone, a text message and e-mail.) I feel like letting the air out of his tires but am too mature for that (I think).

My daughter has a difficult time pronouncing the "th" and "sh" letter combinations. Her "th" words come out sounding like "f" words, for example she says "free" instead of "three", "fink" instead of "think." For her "sh" words they just come out sounding like "s" words, "shout" sounds like "sout." This is starting to hurt her when it comes to math, at least for the "th" sounds because when she says her thirties, it sounds like her forties. So when she counts or adds money for school-work, she will sometimes entirely skip her forties because when she says her thirties, she can hear that it's coming out like the forties, and this is confusing her. So she's aware that her thirties are coming out with a beginning "f" sound instead of "th" but she isn't able to fix it. Does anyone know of any exercises or work we can do at home to help her learn to say her "th" and "sh" combinations?
