You Get What You Got, When You Do What You Did.
By: Sylvia Browne
The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow: do good anyway.
Give the world the best you have, and it may never be enough: give the world the best you've got anyway.
You see, in the final analysis, it is between you and God: it was never between you and them anyway.

"Men who for truth and honor's sake
Stand fast and suffer long.
Brave men who work while others sleep,
Who dare while others fly...
They build a nation's pillars deep
And lift them to the sky."
Ralph Waldo Emerson, from "A Nation's Strenth"

"If a nation expects to be ignorant and free, in a state of civilization, it expects what never was and never will be."

"The Meaning of Life" (aka Monty Python's the Meaning of Life)
Exec #1: Which brings us once again to the urgent realization if how much there is still left to Own. Item six on the agenda: "The Meaning of Life" Now uh, Harry, you've had some thoughts on this.
Exec #2: Yeah, I've had a team working on this over the past few weeks, and what we've come up with can be reduced to two fundamental concepts. One: People aren't wearing enough hats. Two: Matter is energy. In the universe there are many energy fields which we cannot normally perceive. Some energies have a spiritual source which act upon a person's soul. However, this "soul" does not exist ab initio as orthodox Christianity teaches; it has to be brought into existence by a process of guided self-observation. However, this is rarely achieved owing to man's unique ability to be distracted from spiritual matters by everyday trivia.

Maya Angelou said "I can be changed by what happens to me but I refuse to be reduced by it." To explain, in my groups for abuse Survivors we use that quote alot.It reminds us that it is our choice how we decide to react to the abuse we endured and we can choose a bright new day.
