As a group we have been set the task of teaching a younger year group (12-13yo vs our 15/16yo group) about Body Image. How can we address them, without being patronising? We have to make it clear that they are not adults yet, and so can't judge themselves in that way, but how do we avoid calling them children or kids? Youths sounds abrubt, and they aren't all teenagers yet.
Any suggestions?

In my classes, I refer to the students as ladies and gentlemen. I tell them I call them that because I hope they will aspire to be ladies and gentlemen.

Being slightly older, you are in a great position to tell these students that self-respect will make them more capable of handling the pressures that are placed before them as they grow older. Letting them know about positive body image and the acceptable behavior that goes along with it can only be beneficial for your charges..
