I'm 21, independent because of veteran status, made 6,000 last year but used it all for school, car maintenance, etc. Do you think I could get more than 3,000?

Even though i would love to go to a state university, i really really really want to go to UC DAVIS! i just love the smell of the farms. I have plenty of Extra Curricular activities and have attended leadership programs. I volunteer at a hospital, i will be doing an internship over there too. I havent taken my SAT however. I am planning on taking some community colleges over the summer to increase my GPA. So is there anyway i have a chance... btw.. i am an immigrant and i live in Richmond, Ca.... A very dangerous place to live in.

I really don't know if I failed a test. It's literature. I got all 100's on my other tests in literature but I know that at least I got 10 wrong on this test. Recently, I've been crying because I seriously don't like tests. I get very good grades. My last report card was a 97.5 average. I'm having friend issues also. My teachers know about my crying, because I told them. They said that I have to do this by myself.
But what I'm really worked up on is that I know I didn't do so well on my test. The day I had this test I had two other one's the same day. (Spanish - hard and Religion) This means that I had 3 tests in that one day. This literature test was for the whole book. Not just an chapter. But I really did study!

I've noticed a trend of using it to mean neglectful, ie. someone who ignores is ignorant. Which, if you're one of those people, IT DOES NOT MEAN.

It bugs me, but I wonder... will these ignorant people change its meaning through relentless misuse?

We got 8 inches of snow last night and all of the colleges in the area as well as all public schools were closed. My University stayed open. I went to class because I had an exam and couldn't miss it. I got there 2 hours early because the roads were horrible and I also wanted to study a bit before the exam. There was no class cancellation sign on the door so I (as well as the rest of the class) waited and our prof never showed up.

I think my professor didn't want the department to know that he didn't come in because he's already missed 3 classes this semester (classes started a month ago) and didn't want to get in trouble for calling off again. If he had called off they would have put a sign up and the dept would have e-mailed us to let us know class was cancelled. This would have saved us all the hassle of driving to class and wasting our time waiting for him. Some of us have a 45 minute drive to class.

Should I call the department and let them know that he didn't show up today?

Has google reached the point where it can be used as a verb?

I don't want to get dinged for grammar for not using google as a proper noun.

I am 18 years of age but left school early because i wasnt very academic and i wasnt very fond of every one knowing it either but i am good with computers and numbers funnily enough. i have a relative who owns an estate agents and i started working for him about a year ago first doing his computer needs (website, Brochures etc.) as of late iv gotten to the stage where i am doing viewings on houses now and i am liking the job alot and i seem to be good with people. iv completed a HSI course on auctioneering but its not going to get me a licence. i want to get an auctioneering licence in years to come but do not have the qualifictions on paper. can i go to college for an estate agents degree with no leaving cert?
