Absolutely. Lots of professors wouldn't let you slide, why should the students? I mean, at least put a freaking note up.

I disagree with gib000. You aren't in class to get good grades, you are there to learn. When you have a professor who doesn't teach you what you are supposed to learn in the class, it can screw you over in later classes even if you end up getting a good grade. I had a bad professor for physical chemistry. I got an A, but now I feel handicapped in my other chem courses because I still do not have a very good grasp of the subject.
If you don't feel that the professor is respecting your time or teaching you what you need to know, I would talk to him directly first. Then if he doesn't change, contact the department.

Even though I agree with the other answers, If i am acing his class I would let him slide. So I won't have to worry about having another professor coming in that semester. Maybe your whole class should confront him to negotiate 5 points extra credit on the next test. That's fair.

If the professor is unrealistic of their expectation of the scholars or lack the folk skills to coach, i'd ***** too. college is not any loose journey and expenditures plenty. now and back interest needs to take transport of to whats happening interior the class room. If there are quite some court docket situations, they'd would desire to be appeared in to. I attend college and that i will inform you that there are some instructors at my college that lack the skill to speak and get their factor throughout the time of to others. provided that i'm paying, i p.c. the final for my money!

Despite snow and rain I made it to my 7:00 a.m. class this morning, as did most of my students. I think that your professor should have made the effort, especially as you report that a test was scheduled for today. I think you should complain to the department chair or perhaps even the dean.

Yes, complain to the department chair. You paid good money for your education. So not only are you getting ripped off when it comes to learning, but you are also losing money. It doesn't sound the prof is good anyway. He might need a talking to from his supervisor.

In a word, Absolutely! You have paid good money to take the class and you are not getting your money's worth, for sure. Yes, I would let the office know about how this has again caused you to be inconvenienced.

I certainly would. What a jerk! Regardless of whether they forgot to email you or he didn't come, the fact that you went out there and endangered yourself along with your other classmates would really tick me off. I would report the guy if I were you. If nothing else, the university should at least know about it.
