I am 18 years of age but left school early because i wasnt very academic and i wasnt very fond of every one knowing it either but i am good with computers and numbers funnily enough. i have a relative who owns an estate agents and i started working for him about a year ago first doing his computer needs (website, Brochures etc.) as of late iv gotten to the stage where i am doing viewings on houses now and i am liking the job alot and i seem to be good with people. iv completed a HSI course on auctioneering but its not going to get me a licence. i want to get an auctioneering licence in years to come but do not have the qualifictions on paper. can i go to college for an estate agents degree with no leaving cert?

Hey u called the final exams the leaving cert..! are u Irish? So am I!

Well u can go to any college here as a mature student, without leaving cert points, once you're 23 on the 1st february on the year you're applying for college. There are mature student grants as well.

D.I.T (Dublin Institute of Technology) do certificates and diplomas in auctioneering and real-estate. there are also degree course.. go to the CAO website and type in auctioneering to see all.

There are many private colleges, and night courses that do not require leaving cert so of course u can go,dont let anyone say otherwise!

Go to the college that you plan on attending and talk to a counselor. They will be able to help you out and get you what you need to be able to attend.

School is a very valuable asset. I hope that you follow thru with this!!!!

Good Luck!
