Although #1 is a wonderful topic, I think for the limited amount of time you have, you should try to tackle #2. Ok, pretend you are sitting having dinner w/a friend who's pregnant. She going through all the possible names for her baby and they're awful! She's going to name her twins Pear and Cupcake, Adam and Eve, Poopie and Popcorn. How does that make you feel? Is a good, strong name really that important? Do people end up being defined by the name they're given, or do they define the name, or maybe a combination of both. Think about your own name. Does it fit you? What about people's preconceptions? If you're about to meet your roommate and her name is Babsy, what are your impressions? Why should we care about what we name our kids?

Think about all these questions. Your answers will be your speech.

Okay this first thing you have to learn about public speaking is that you have to stay calm and you sound verry stressed so it won't go over well. Take a deep cleansing breath and rember its only a speach.
Okay good topics for speaches are stuff like autisim ADD ADHD and other disabilities
DO NOT talk about your pets very boring
DO think of what you'd like to hear and a speach and write about that!
What would you like to hear in a speach? Do your speach on that

Okay Tips On Public Speaking

Memorize Whatever your saying so you don't always look at your que cards cause if you aren't a lightning fast reader it doesn't work out. This will also build your confidence so that you don't studder. Because no one likes hearing that in a speach. Most people are always nervous before they make a speach this is fine but when your saying the speach do not shake it looks weird when I speak I like to put ll of my nerves into my enthusiasim whichh coincidently is the key to a fantastic speach

Good Luck!

Whats in a Name: Some Dear Abby columns lately have been on the names of people in certain professions. Read a few of them and write what comes to mind.
