Just in case, impromptu means on the spot and a random topic. How can I improve my impromptu skills? What are some things that I should do to prepare for this type of activity?

Observe things around you every day, and think about these in an analytical way. You would then get a general idea of what is happening, which would be useful in your speeches.
Read newspapers for general knowledge. If possible, read a few general knowledge books.
Call a few friends to your room and ask them to suggest random topics one by one, and give an impromptu speech on these topics. Let them time you and give a critical opinion of your speech, as also your body movements during the speech. Analyze what you spoke about in one minute and what you missed referring to or what you felt you should have avoided.
If any other friend of yours is similarly interested in practising giving such speeches, you be the listener and evaluate the speaker's delivery. This would help a lot when you actually have to give a speech.
If you can, attend lectures on general topics in a public place, even if they aren't impromptu, and get to know some techniques. If you happen to attend any social or church function, you may find someone being asked to talk without prior notice. Observe how they react and speak, and pick up any good points.
With practice, you gain confidence in yourself and would face a crowd without any hesitation.

While this may seem counter intuitive, don't try to memorize the speech word-for-word, instead try remember each point made in the speech in order. What I usually do is read the speech a few times and extract a single word that reminds me of the key point of each sentence. I write each point down on a sheet of paper, so that it forms a list - one point per line. Then try to recite the speech by looking at bullet points. Another tip is don't try to remember all 4 minutes at once. First only try to recite the 1st minute. You'll find that is pretty easy. Then once you've got it, move on to the 2nd minute's worth.... and so on. Once you've you recited the last section from memory, go back and try to put it all together. Then just practice the speech until you feel comfortable reciting it. Good luck.

Sometimes we wake up to a new day and see things in a way u've never thought about before. Talk about something that inspired you once or on that day.

Easier, talk about your dreams or what makes u afraid. I'm sure u will pour ur heart out!
