I'm writing an analytical essay on the movie To Kill a Mockingbird. I need to determine wether or not Atticus was an idealist but I can do that part. The part I need help with is I need to relate Atticus to a specific figure in either women's or African-American's history that had to do an "Unpleasant job" for the betterment of soceity. I've seen both in written texts but I guess one would be more appropriate than the other.
Also, we use to say a pair of shoes/boots but we say many shoes/boots don't we-in contrast to a piece of cake and much cake.

I have recently started homeschooling my 7th grade daughter. While I am an elementary school teacher by training, this is a new adventure for both of us. Does anyone have sggestions on curriuclums etc. I want a classic approach - and one with a Christian slant is fine. I have found the "prepackaged" programs to be fairly expenisve. Hi, I am graduating an entire year early from my highschool. I was wondering what the chances of me getting into a college were without four years of english besides a community college. i want to go to a university or something and not a community college.
