I think your credentials sound pretty good, especially the state championship.

You should apply, but you should understand that at Brown, the other Ivies, Duke, Stanford, etc. they each receive about 5000 to 10,000 applications from students as good as you, and these schools take only about 1200 - 1600 kids in each school. So, the whole thing is kind of mystical. But if you dont apply you will always wonder whether you could have made it!

I have known a lot of kids who went to Brown in the last few years and they all loved it!

ps Elon is not in the same league, literally or figuratively, as the Ivies.... you should be a shoo-in there.

i got in Cornell University with the h.e.o.p., i have a 90 average and a 1100 out of 1600 on the sat, but i did alot of after school stuff and was part of all of clubs and was in the baseball team, if u live in ny apply to this school with the "h.e.o.p, seek, or discovery program" it helps ur chances of getting in, good luck

Throw in some community service. Solid record; keep it up! Keep in mind, you are competing against others who are JUST like you records wise. Apply as early as possible.

How will you know if its a waste of your time if you don't try? The worst they can do is say no.

You have to be a foreigner or a minority, then you're a shoe-in.
