I have an assignment to compare and contrast Title VII and the renamed Title III of the ESEA under No Child Left Behind. I also must decide whether language minority students will be benefited. I can't find much information about Title VII.......does anybody know the differences of the two, have valid opinions, or know where I can find good summaries of each Title? Thank you!!!

I think any professional educator will tell you that this "no child left behind" business is a bunch of bunk. What it does is encourage teachers to shove kids in to the next grade level when they cannot even deal with the previous one. It's a massive bureaucratic joke and a huge waste of taxpayer money.

When I was a kid if you could not do the work and pass the assignments you did not get promoted to the next grade. What "no child left behind" really means is promote them and graduate them even if they have not learned a thing. It means move them through the system and get rid of them regardless of whether they can pass the courses or not. The whole thing a joke and an insult to anyone with an ounce of intelligence.

Here's a good line for you: "In conclusion, the No Child Left Behind Act is the most ironically named piece of legislation since the Japanese Family Leave Act."
