I have the SAT THIS WEEK. AHHHHH, I have been studying but I want to get higher than my other SAT scores. How do I get WAY BETTER, QUICKLY. I know buy those SAT books and take practice test. But I'm looking for something beyond- like a good website (I already know about collegeboard.com). If you have taken the SAT- What really helped to increase your score ? My scaore was like a 1500 out of 2400. And I want to get a 1700. Do you know how to gain 200 easy points ? The reading is especially hard for me, but there isn't really a way to get better besides studying vocabulary words, but I only got a few days left. My math is alright with a 610. Maybe if you know how to increase it more. AND MY WRITING, I think really needs to improve because that is actually an easy section, but I end up getting only 410 on it. Do you know a good WEBSITE or book for GRAMMER RULES and ERRORS. Please someone help.

Sometimes, I really feel that there's no point in them. When we take a test, we only have to memorize the information for a short while, just long enough to take the test. We can look over it just before the test, or the night before and still get a 100. It doesn't really measure your knowledge. I mean, I get 100s on a lot of tests because all I have to do is memorize, but it's pretty pointless. You barely have to know any concepts, because you just go over everything in class.

The way school and tests are is good for me because I have a good short-term memory, but I still don't really like tests.

I play lax for my high school, and not to brag but was on varsity as a freshman and made second team all county while playing the whole season with a broken thunb. ok juss some backgrond info.... So .. i need to start thinking about college, and i def want to get a scolarship! what colleges are really good at lacrosse, and what colleges might need a goalie for the college year 2010 (i graduate in 2009). preferably somewhere on the east coast... i live in Maryland so not too far west... but u can still mention some of those schools too.

Well i am tring to study for my science exam and i came acorss a couple of questions that stumed me can anyone help me these questions:
Astronomy
1. What are star masses measured in?

“Eight hundred thousand Tutsis killed in a hundred days--that’s five and a half lives terminated every minute” (Gourevitch 133). The deaths of these Rwandan Tutsis are the result of the 1994 genocide committed by the Hutus in Rwanda. Ethnic conflicts between the two groups can be traced to the early 1800s, when the Tutsi minority held most of the powerful political positions while the Hutu majority were mainly peasants. However, the two groups spoke the same language, intermarried, and followed the same religion without partitions until the Germans colonized Rwanda (Bodnarchuk 17). The Germans favored the Tutsis for their supposed “fine oval faces, large eyes, and high noses” (Gourevitch 52). Doing so forcibly separated the so called “superior race” of the Tutsis from the Hutus (52). One author who researched these ethnic distinctions were researched is Philip Gourevitch, who traveled to Rwanda to interview survivors of the genocide so he can understand why the genocide began in his history, We Wish to Inform You That Tomorrow We Will be Killed With Our Families. In his history, Gourevitch particularly explores the physical and economic differences between the Hutus and Tutsis as the driving force behind nightmare.

I don't get this math problem for my homework. Could you show me how you solve it? Please and thanks! It's under the topic of "Calculating the Radius or Diameter of a Circle." This is the problem:

Kim was playing checkers. While waiting for a turn, Kim rolled a game piece one complete turn and measured the distance. The checker rolled 4.4 cm. What is the diameter to the nearest tenth?

I don't get how to solve for that. Like in the other problems, it would say, the circumference is... or the area is...so I don't get how to do this. Please help!!!

My husband had a Perkins loan that was originally for around $800. The fact that it existed completely skipped both of our minds (especially since we weren't getting any documentation or calls on the loan). Then in December 2006 a collection agency said we now owe $1554.78. They said we have until the end of January to pay it in full or they "will take the next necessary steps" (which they won't tell me what these steps might be. I told them we could pay them off in 3 months ($500/month). They said they won't except a payment plan. We don't qualify for any personal loans or the like. I've heard that if we pay them some of the money that they can't take action against him/us. I've heard other people say this doesn't apply to federal loans. I know this money is our responsibility and we messed up. I'm just trying to figure out what we might be able to do or what might happen if we don't pay the full amount by the end of this month.
