So .. i need to start thinking about college, and i def want to get a scolarship! what colleges are really good at lacrosse, and what colleges might need a goalie for the college year 2010 (i graduate in 2009). preferably somewhere on the east coast... i live in Maryland so not too far west... but u can still mention some of those schools too.

The first thing you need to know is that Division 1 teams with scholarship support for lax players recruit. That means you are not allowed to contact them. It's against NCAA rules. Your coach can, but you cannot. Speak to your coach about your scholarship chances. If he or she thinks you should be looking to Division 2 or 3 instead, take her/his advice.

Division 1 women's lax teams on the east coast that are traditionally really great:
Duke
Boston University
Georgetown
Dartmouth
University of Virginia
Penn State
University of Maryland
Princeton
Johns Hopkins
University of North Carolina
Syracuse
Hofstra
Yale
University of Connecticut
Cornell

Best wishes to you!

Smith College has a great lacrosse team, but they're division three, so they probably won't give you a scholarship for it. They are located in Northampton, Mass.

I think Rutgers might have one for some reason.
