There seem to be an insane number of young people who have NO idea how their bodies work and how to avoid getting pregnant, or how to tell if they are. I had 3 sex ed courses by the time I was a freshman in highschool, then a whole section on reproduction in 10th grade Bio. I'm not even from a "liberal" area, so I was just wondering how all these people are so clueless about how things work.

My grandfather went to Harvard, and did very well there. He served on an admission board there. He has a lot of money and he thinks he can help me go there. I get A's and B's, and I do a lot of sports and activities after school, and I got a really good SAT score. What are my chances? I heard a family member helps a lot.

My favorite singer is Josh Groban, my favorite song by him is Mi Mancherai, my favorite show is 'Rugrats', my favorite subject in school is music (besides that, math), I go to a Charter School that wears uniforms (that doesn't mean that the uniforms are plaid) my favorite thing to wear to school is a pleated skirt, and my favorite animal is a monkey! its that time of year again... the time when the teachers turn evil and decide to give us science projects even though they know we already have soo much to do. well i need help!! i need titles of really good science projects!!!!! i either need book titles that have science project ideas in them- or really good websites that have them (ive benn searching for 3 hrs on the internet and the websites i got werent any help!!) i want to do something with animals. like- go to a petshop and buy one. study its behaiviors. or on mountains- go on mountains and see its habitats- or SOMETHING LIKE THAT!!! o- and it has to be in a high school level..... i know..... why a high school level when im only in seventh grade..... but plz. i really need ur help!

My school ranks near the bottom of the district in a large urban district. Although all the teachers are working overtime, we feel as if we are hitting our heads against a concrete wall. Does anyone have any suggestions on what we can do to motivate them?

These students come from a very low socio-economic area and many of them are below grade level with reading skills. We have been providing additional reading groups for them since the beginning of the school year and they have also had tutoring after school. This is elementary school level. Also there are more than 10% that have repeated a grade level.
